Due to the thickness of mulch films and exposure to high solar irradiation, they require proper sunlight and thermal stabilizers with intermediate chemical resistance. The majority of mulch films are made of low density polyethylene or linear low density polyethylene, however, the barrier properties of the plastic films vary greatly and so do the costs.
